The Petaluma Gap is one of the best regions for producing high quality Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. While Syrah and a few other varieties have shown some promise here, we have chosen to focus on Burgundian varieties. We feel that our site has the potential to produce some of the finest Pinot Noir and Chardonnay in California. Every vintage, we strive to come closer to this goal.

We make a very small amount of Chardonnay from our estate. We strive to produce a Chardonnay that achieves the perfect balance of richness and fresh acidity. We use low-impact French oak and neutral barrels to ferment and age this Burgundy-inspired wine.

As part of our red wine production we saignée (bleed off) some juice to add concentration to our Pinot Noirs. We collect this juice and ferment it in neutral barrels, then age it in stainless steel. For the 2017 vintage, 30% of the blend was made from grapes picked a bit earlier than the rest of our Pinot Noir and loaded directly to the press. This component of the blend adds freshness and structure. This lush, fruit-forward wine is one of biggest sellers and a staff favorite!

Our estate is primarily planted to Pinot Noir and makes up more than 90% of our production. We make our basic Pinot Noir, which we will just refer to as the "Estate" Pinot Noir and a "Reserve," which is also sourced from our estate. Our current release of Estate Pinot Noir is the 2015 vintage. We aim to make wines that toe the line between power and finesse. With the Reserve Pinot, we select our favorite barrels, and generally look for lots that have a bit more structure, and express darker fruit characteristics.

Aside from our core set of wines, we also produce a few limited-production wines such as our Pinot Noir Nouveau and "Tendance Passante" Pétillant Naturel. We release a very small amount of these wines into restaurants and fine wine retailers. The only way to ensure that you can access these rare wines is to join our wine club.
