PHILOSOPHY AND VISION

Karah Estate Vineyard — Philosophy & Vision

Perched above the rolling hills of the Petaluma Gap, Karah Estate Vineyard is guided by a philosophy that celebrates balance — between land and craft, nature and intention, elegance and authenticity.

A Winemaker’s Approach Rooted in Respect

Under the direction of Lisa Saverino, Karah’s winemaking reflects a deep respect for the vineyard’s rhythm and the individuality of each vintage. Every block is farmed with close attention to soil health, vine vigor, and microclimate expression. Lisa’s belief is simple: great wines begin in living soil. The estate’s vineyard practices emphasize biodiversity, composting, and gentle cover cropping to sustain long-term vitality and true terroir expression.

Wines Crafted with Character and Precision

In the cellar, Karah wines are shaped with minimal intervention and precise care — fermented in small lots, guided by native yeasts when possible, and aged to highlight texture and energy rather than manipulation. From the Estate Pinot Noir and Chardonnay to Rosé of Pinot Noir and the Méthode Champenoise sparkling wines, each bottle aims to convey place, patience, and purity of fruit.

A Place to Share

Lisa’s vision extends beyond production — Karah Estate is a gathering place for people to connect through honest wine, local food, and genuine hospitality. Every tasting reflects a sense of Sonoma’s landscape: warm, expressive, and unpretentious. The addition of local partnerships, such as Andante Dairy’s artisanal cheeses, underscores the estate’s commitment to community and craftsmanship.

Rooted in Nature, Moving Forward with Intention

From regenerative farming to limited, thoughtful releases, Karah Estate’s future lies in sustainability, creativity, and transparency. Lisa envisions the estate not only as a producer of fine wines, but as a living, evolving ecosystem — one that nurtures vines, animals, people, and ideas.
