Vision & Philosophy

Under the direction of Winemaker and General Manager Lisa Albert, Karah’s philosophy begins in the vineyard, where every decision honors the integrity of the soil and the individuality of each block. Sustainable practices like composting, biodiversity, and cover cropping foster healthy vines and expressive fruit that truly reflect their origin.

Wines Crafted with Character and Precision

In the cellar, Karah wines are crafted with minimal intervention and precise care — fermented in small lots and aged to highlight natural texture and balance. From the estate-grown Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Chenin blanc, each bottle embodies patience, purity, and the spirit of place.

A Place to Share

Karah Estate is more than a winery — it’s a gathering space for connection and authenticity. Every tasting is designed to express Sonoma’s warmth and character through genuine hospitality and local partnerships, such as Andante Dairy’s artisan cheeses, celebrating the craftsmanship of the region, with honest wines and local food.

Rooted in Nature, Moving Forward with Intention

The future of Karah Estate lies in sustainability, creativity, and transparency. Lisa envisions the estate as a living ecosystem — one that nurtures vines, animals, people, and ideas. Each season, each vintage, is part of an ongoing dialogue between land and hand, guided by respect, curiosity, and care.
